Are UFC and MMA fighters authentic black belts?

I heard some where that some of those guys powerful, dangerous, skillful or not aren’t actually going through black belt training or whatever. Not saying black belt the rank is a true deal but Ive heard about the test for different styles and there day long tests at times. The only honorable and real fighter Ive heard of was someone called Kung-Lee for his Muay Thai and some other stuff.
I was simply curious because these non-authentic by skill fighters seem to be the cause for martial arts having a bad (That S*** dont work in real life) wrap. Ive seen real fighters and they have given me some “real” fear.

The thing is that martial arts like boxing, kickboxing, Western wrestling, Sambo, and Muay Thai do not generally have a belt ranking structure. You’ll also notice that most of the black belts are in Brazilian Jiujitsu, with a few in Judo. What bothers me is that you seem to be implying that if one doesn’t have a black belt that they are not “honorable” or a “real fighter”. I can assure you that the everyday practice in a college wrestling room is far more physically and mentally taxing than most black belt tests. And “honor” has nothing to do with a piece of cloth around your waist. Guys like Randy Couture and Dan Henderson are among the most honorable guys you’ll ever meet, and are certainly “real fighters” by any definition.

That doesn’t make any sense. They are authentically skilled, and if they’re using martial arts and making it work, why would it get a bad rap? Do you know anything about MMA fighters? MMA stands for “mixed martial arts”, and if you’re at the highest (and almost any other) level of MMA, you’re training in martial arts. I don’t know what your definition of “authentic” or “skill” is, but I’ve seen some black belts that couldn’t punch their way out of a paper bag, while guys in systems that don’t have belts (wrestling, boxing, Muay Thai) are tough as nails. Having a black belt is no indicator of skill.
